it's going to be quite choppy even with the fx5500, but u should be able to play it.

my laptop is a alienware area 51 m5500 with a pentium m, 1 gb of ram, and currently a nvidia geforce go 6600

ATI 7500 (I think) to 9250 are shader model 1.4, can be wrong. Ti's where shader model 1.3. 9550 was shader mode 2.0 that should run Battlefield

Haha, don't even bother playing Battlefield 2 on that machine! In all honesty, it just won't be fun.

My friend plays bf2 on a fx5500. The highest fps he gets is 30, and thats when nothing is happening, or he is flying in a chopper or plane. He usually gets about 18-20 fps. I dont think its really worth it in those conditions really.
