Help with AIM

Whenever I try to startup AIM, it has this error:

The AOL software cannot startup correctly. Please try again, restart your computer, or reinstall the software.

Error starting: ee://aol/imApp
Error code: 71

that's odd. have you tried restarting the computer? or try installing a different version of aim?

Yeah, i did both of them twice.

Meh, I use the open source AIM client: Gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net/)

try using the new 'aim triton'. i don't use it though...too confusing. i use the windows 95/98 version of aim on my xp thinger.

aim triton is gay. it opens like 3 firefox windows when i log in.

looks likes a file missing from the AIM folder. try downloading from a different client like rakedog said.

just be sure to run a search after uninstalling for anything aim related and delete all the remaining files.
