Help after re-installing Windows XP!

I had bad spyware issues on my Dell Inspiron 9300 widescreen with high resolution screen (something like 1900x1200). I contacted Dell and they sent me a Windows XP Operating System CD and an Applications CD. So I reinstalled Windows and now I have several problems:

1. The highest resolution available is 1600x1200.

2. All images are stretched out, or "flattened." It's as if the CD was meant for a non-widescreen Dell??

3. I'm not sure how to connect to our WideOpenWest internet service. When I first bought the laptop, I was instantly connected.

4. When I popped in the Applications CD, it asked for my make of Dell, and the 9300 wasn't listed as an option.

I know very little about computers, but if anybody can help me out or find me a better reinstallation CD I'd appreciate it!
 
Contact Dell. It seems to me they made an error here. Actually if your computer isn't listed on the apps CD, they must have.
 
I sent this question to a Dell via email and this is what I got back. Does this sound like a reasonable answer?

will do my best to provide the assistance you need to make your time and

I have checked the dispatch details. Please note that the CDs sent to
you are correct. We need to install the drivers after the operating
system reinstallation. The Application CD is not the drivers CD. As the
system is non shipping system we will not be able to send you the drivers
CD.

I am providing you a link for the drivers. You will be able to install
required drivers from the following link. Please download the drivers
to a flash drive or burn to a CD then install on the system in question:
