Default Help

Hello I was wondering if anybody knows if I can use this processor http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...u=CP1-A64-3700

with this board http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&sku=M452-2802

I am thinking about upgrading the board and processor I have now. I do graphic design and I want some better performance. I have an Abit NF7-S2 right now and an AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2 GHZ processor. So if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

Yes that should work. The motherboard says it supports 64 and you want a 64 processor, so yea that would work.

WRONG! Dont listen to elite gaming. The processor and board will not work! That board is only compatible with 939 processors.

Thanks. Can you reccomend something around the same price for a processor of the same speed that will work with the board or a board with agp that is as good that will work with that processor.

There are several different kinds of sockets on different motherboards meant for different processors. The original motherboard you posted is socket 939 which is only compatible with 939 socket CPUs. The socket 754 or anything else won't fit.
