Im planning to buy the following pc (for gaming) and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

-AMD ATHLON 64 3500+ PROCESSOR S939 RETAIL BOX
-ASUS A8V DELUXE MOTHERBOARD ATHLON64 S939 K8T800PRO DUAL DDR AGP 5PCI SATA
-CORSAIR VALUE SELECT DUAL CHANNEL 1024MB KIT PC3200 DDR CAS2.5 2X512MB
-SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.7 120GB HARD DRIVE ATA100 7200RPM 8MB OEM
-logitech mx510 mouse
-XFX GEFORCE 6600 GT 128MB DDR3 AGP 8X DUAL DVI & TV OUT VIDEO CARD
-RWTI Cintre RW-6525D Mini Home Theater System 40watt subwoofer and RMS:80watt
-Aspire X-navigator w/500watt powersupply

OR..

should i add in a sound card and change the mobo to:

-CREATIVE LABS AUDIGY EAX PCI SOUND CARD 5.1 OEM W/ DIGITAL OUT
-SOLTEK K8TPRO-939 ATHLON64 S939 K8T800 DDR AGP 5PCI SATA RAID SOUND 1000LAN

How much will this cost, where are you getting it, or are you building it yourself? These 3 questions I must have answers to my man! :D

BTW, keep the original MOBO, get a 5.1 24Bit Sound Blaster Live Soundcard, and other stuff, but I'll tell you after I know the answers to my above questions ;)

ALSO, upgrade you Hardrive to SATA, since your MOBO has it supported, and it is much better then ATA100 or ATA133

im buying it from ncix.com and its all in canadian dollars, around 1200$ more or less. and i dont want to spend much more than 1200 (nothing more really). Yeh im building it myself or more like my buddy will build it for me.

very good, i would get that. that pc will play any new game out today.

hope you enjoy the gaming experience with that computer. what games do you have for it?

yea i live in canada 2, thanks for showing me NCIx. there prices are great. before i used tigerdirect.

im getting almost the same configuration as you except im beefing up the motherboard to a SLI, and getting the PCI-E version of the 6600GT since its 50 cheaper, getting a cheaper case/ps and no soundsystem, averages to 1200 i think
