Heeeelp-need To Send File

Sorry all, I am completely computer illeterate and need help sending a file. The file is downloaded and 600mb's . My email will not allow me to send it as an attachment, and am wondering how on earth do you send a file this size to anyone????? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....Thank you so much in advance. Oh yes, I'm using windowsXP, if that matters???

Unfortunately, most, if not all email services limit you to 10MB attachments. You could set up an FTP server and give your "friend" access to the file. A nice program to use would be SmartFTP.

You could also do a file transfer through a chat client like AIM or Yahoo Messenger.

It will take like seven hours. Go with Atomic Rooster's first suggestion, and host through an FTP server.

you could also make a free account at http://www.filefront.com/ and host the file on your account and then send the download link to the recipient , then they could download it themselves
