Headset With Microphone.

Recently I just bought a new headset with a microphone. Now I wanted to just use it for a program called XFire, but instead of just voice communications through the headset I'm getting both game and Voice sounds.

Is there any way to have game sounds through the stereo speakers while voices from a separate program go through the headset.

Situation:

When headset is plugged in, no sound from speakers, all through headset.

Headsets will play both. It's regular.

So there's no way for sound to at least come from both headset and speakers?

I had the same problem, wanted to play counterstrike, but game sounds came through, and none came out of the stereo speakers that my computer uses. I would like some answers as well.
