Headphone buzzing noise/feedback

Hello all

I have a pair Sony MDR-V6 stereo headphone and whenever I plug it into my Acer Aspire 5739G laptop, I can hear a buzzing noise (feedback?). This occurs even if I turn my volume to zero. This buzzing is really irritating and happens on my other Phillip ear buds too so I dont think its the headphone's fault. Any suggestions on what is causing this noise?

What happens when you wiggle the headphone jack?

Also, it doesn't hurt to try another pair of headphones. I once ripped apart my iBook without realizing I just had 3 pairs of bad headphones.

wiggling the jack doesnt do anything, doesn't even distort the feedback. and my sony MDR v6 are a week old. I bought them to replace the "broken" Phillips which were giving me feedback.
