hdmi from a computer. is there a video card that has hdmi outputs?

or is there a way to view my pc from this:
TV!!!!

i found one new from a friend for $400. and i want it for my ps2, and xbox360 in my room, as i have said in previous posts. anyway, i know its an awesome price that i can get it for.

anyway, just wondering if i can use that tv as a monitor.

whoops. i forgot it has component connections aswell. i feel dumb now.

anyway, obviously hdmi would be better resolution-wise. but is there a way to display my pc on that? i think ive seen a dvi to hdmi connector, but would that drop my resolution?

Hmmm, HDMI appear to be a newer standard in digital viewing. It may replace the DVI output. Not too familiar with HDMI. The convertor is definitely available. I think the picture quality would be fine.

would i be better off using a hdmi connection(converted from dvi) or 'component' inputs(ugh, i hate that name, so confusing)?

wow. i read that article. and see that hdmi has alot of things going for it. even microsoft is backing it, apparently.

does that mean pc's will start having hdmi outputs? and also, isnt dvi the same as 15pin dsub/vga
