I would use the raptor for your operating system, and store your files on the other hdd, that will improve performance alot.

So plug your raptor into the first Sata slot, and your existing one into the second slot, and reformat them.
 
doesnt matter which SATA slot its plugged into. Just make sure you boot from the raptor.

thats just setting the boot order in the bios correct?

having it before the other drive
