HD Question - What is .10 in 7200.10rpm

I never really looked into it, but can someone please explain to me the benefits of having a 7200.10RPM hard drive rather than the 7200RPM alone? I understand it does perpindicular recording. But I dont really understand this. I know about the 7200.09 but .10?

Is it a Seagate hard drive? I notice Seagate has a lot of those 7200.6, .7, .8, .9, etc. The .10 suffix indicates this is the tenth generation drive resulting from ten years of research. The 7200.10 is the first ever to use 500GB and 750GB drives and as you have mentioned, use Perpendicular Technology. Here's what you are dealing with when it comes to the 7200.10 drives:
