Default HD problem....plz help

for some reason i have 86 GB of space being taken up in a folder but after i examine the folder there is only 36 GB of files. this is happening to my documents and settings folder. i have tried defraging and disk cleanup but neither have fixed it. btw, i have windows XP. i have gotten the messege that my C: drive is running out of room.

I really need help with this.

Hmmm...Try setting up another Account and transfering your settings over there. Then deleting your account. I imagine its all Temp Files or something and if Disk Cleanup hasn't caught it then it'll be hard to do anyway.
