Default HD 5770 Directx 11

So I'm running Windows XP 32bit and I have my HD 5770. i'm not sure how I can get DirectX11 to work. In fact, not even directx 10 or 9 is working in the heaven benchmark. Any download or way to turn it on?

As far as I know DX11 is only available for Windows 7 and Vista.

You should have DX9. Check by clicking Start > Run. Then type dxdiag

DX10 runs on Vista although I have seen DX10 hacks for XP. Whether they work is a different matter.

I'm afraid Direct X 10-11 is indeed Vista and above only. XP doesn't support them (though whether that was a tactic by Microsoft or not to get people to upgrade, I don't know)

Direct X 9 should work though, as long as you have the correct ATI drivers from their site installed, and aren't running off a default set of drivers included with Windows.

The DX10 port to XP does work. I've been using it for quite a while now.
