Default Having ATI9600 trouble

Hi, ive had my ATI 9600 graphics card for maybe a lil over 6 months now, and ive been playing cs:s, i used to get ping in the 90's with no lag, but now i am getting ping in the 40's with lot of lag, any help? i rather hve 90 with no lag...

Are you sure you're talking about ping and not framerate? If it is ping, it shouldn't have anything to do with your video card. Make sure programs that use the internet aren't running in the background when you're playing. Also, if you recently installed something, check to make sure it didn't change any settings. Be sure to check/update the ethernet drivers, too.

Any websites, because i havnt updated my ethernet drivers in a long time, i custom built this computer with....like not recent drivers on cd n stuff..and ethernet..

but what i mean by lag, its just realy choppy, and it never did this before

You should be able to download drivers from the manufacturer's website. As for the choppiness, check your video card settings, and try updating the drivers for that, too (again, at the card manufacturer's site).
