Default haveing a cd drive problem

ok my cd drive d does not read my disk anymore, its connected to the computer bcuz i went to device manager and i see 2 listed under cd drives, it use to work before like it would reconize a cd but now it dosent notice a cd is even in the drive i dont htink its broken bcuz its not that old does any one know what the problem could be? thx

OK if it doesn't read then you need a new one.... If you absolutely know that you don't need a new one then you should delete any drivers you have for it and any programs for it and reinstall the latest drivers (if there is such a thing as cd-rom drivers). This could be due to the fact that you have multiple cd rom programs on your comp that didn't origionally come on your computer or with your hardware......
