Default Harddrive Help

Im thinking about buying another harddrive for 60 dollars at http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4987821 Frys but i dont know the diffrence between SATA PATA UTA ATA i really need help i dont know what harddrive my cmputer is, all i know is its a Maxtor

Open up ya pc and look at the connectors on ya HDD, heres a link aswell that shows the connectors and cables etc

PATA, UTA and ATA use the gray flat ribbon cables. SATA uses the thin red ones.

Most motherboards have both, if you are going to use it for your main harddrive, I would reccomend SATA.

I also would recomend SATA much more cable friendly if you know what i mean, plus it's faster
