I just put a Samsung SP161EN 160g (also ATA) in before Christmas and its fine no problems at all, my old drive is now my storags drive, excelstor 40g, 8 years and still going.

Western Digital is a good brand so its not bad it just seems alot to pay for only 80G, you can get a 500G WD for the same price http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129413

that hd comes out to 97 usd

ok i found the same 80gig on newegg for 10 dollars cheaper so i guess i'll get the hd from newegg..
