Is there a significant advantage to a 5400 rpm drive over a 7200 rpm? I know obviously one is faster, but is it worth the money or even noticeable in a laptop?

um, the 7200 one is faster

Yeah, I know that, that's why I said I know one is faster, but I want to know if it's worth the money to get it. Is the difference so noticeable that it makes a difference for the day to day stuff or just people that play high powered games.

But, for a desktop. You want NOTHING under 7200. Just because their is so much airflow, and you dont have to worry about power managment. And between my moms laptop, and my desktop, with two different speed hard drives (5400, 7200), my desktop is signifigantly faster.
