Hard Drive Wipe

Okay some of you guys may know how to do this already but I totally don't know how! How do I format my Hard Drive? Sounds really stupid, I know. But I want to format my Hard Drive and start over.


Some questions:
1. What steps do I need to take?
2. I need the XP CD right?
3. Can you ONLY format PC's that you build? Or can you format PC's from Circuit City?

its a very simple thing to do, first of all go into the bios and make sure that ur comp boots off the disk drive then start up the comp with the xp disk in it then it will say "press any key to boot off disk" so hit any key then it will start loading windows then just follow the instructions and make sure u format before installing windows and yes u can format any pc even if it is from circuit city lol
