I have purchased a GA-8VT800-L Motherboard. Celeron 2.6 processor. Windows Xp Home Edition OS. 1.5GHZ DDRRam. Geforce 128 Video card, AWARD BIOS V6.00PG. I hav a 40GB and a 30GB hard drive in there. I am removing the 30GB hard drive as it is making noise. I purchased an 80GB 7200RPM Western Digital to replace it. When I hooked up the 80 GB the BIOS recognizes it and shows up during boot up as being there. My problem is that once the machine has booted through, I go to My Computer, double click and it does not reflect the 80 GB Hard drive as being there. I have set it up both as a secondary Master and as a slave, same results. I would appreciate any assistance that can be provided.
Thank you;

Run the western digital DataLifeguard program to configure your harddrive. The cd should have come with your harddrive, otherwise download the software from their website. That's the easiest way :)
