Unhappy Hard Drive problems

I have a problem with accessing information from my old hard drive. i set up my old 120 gb hard drive, with all it data on it, as a slave on a different computer. when i start it up, the hard drive shows up, but thei cant access the information. this hard drives has all my important files on it, and i was wondering how i could get windows to access the data. The file names on the hard drive show up and everything, but when i click on them they wont work.

can anyone help me?

Thank You

Are both hard drives the same file system? NTFS? FAT32?
What do you mean they don't work? What type of file? .doc, .xls, .txt?
Or are you talking about programs?
