Default hard drive power management

i was wondering if there was an app where it can let me chose what hard drives i want on. i have 2 hard drives but one i don't use that much so i want to leave it off cause i heard hard drives ate up power. in other words, i was wondering if there was an app where i can choose which hard drive i want to be off.

No, because a hard drive runs off the 4pin molex. So to turn it off, it would have to tell the psu. In others words plain and simple no lol..

Yep, before you turn the computer on just unhook it. Whats the point though, im sure you have a strong psu. So really there is so need for that, but its your choice...
