hello everyone, im new at this stuff and am building a new system, so far im lookin at windows vista home premium 64 bit version, GTX 260 vid card, i have the ASUS Rampage Formula motherboard, OCZ 4GB Ram, LG DVD WRiter with SATA and Lightscribe as well the Antec 900 gamer case and the E8500 Processor...my question is this, would this hard drive be compatable and work nicely with my system?

yes, there are faster drives, but they usually come at a premium price (Raptors), that should be fine for whatever you want to do, if money is not an issue, get a Raptor to install your OS and programs and then use the 500GB as the data/storage drive...

Yup, the Seagate Barracuda 500GB would be great choice for your system. They're fast, reliable, and backed by excellent customer service.
