Hard Drive Issue

I blame your norton anti-virus....not that it actually would be a problem with your HDD i just like to blame norton for a lot, and zone alarm come to think of it [rant/end]

If I didn't have it before, I do now. I just got done installing it.

And you're right, something is DEFINITELY not adding up.

I don't know, I've had it for a year, is that still considered as new?

*random alert* I hate database errors on here

No that is not new. What he means was did you just install it? I take it you did not.

Can you check device manager for me? Goto storage devices and list the HDD make/model here.

Model is ST3200822A
Manufacturer is (Standard Disk Drives)

Cant find a make for it. Hopefully that's enough information for you guys to run a search on it.

Uhh so i dont think you have sata. So something might be wrong on the inside. Open your case and check, but be careful!

its a seagate 200gb drive. Can you post the whole disk management screen?

Here you go.

Oh my god, I was actually close with my guess, I said Seagate 500GB... wow. I think that the problem lies with the HDD, do you have a warranty on it?
