Hard Drive Help

Hello I Need Help Of Anysort
I did a fresh install of windows Xp sp2 today,
well once i got it all up and running i want to install my games and whatnot
we;ll they are stored on a storage hard drive
well it wasnt in my computer
So i go to disk managment and the drive is there with no drive letter.
so i right click go to "set dive letter and paths" and its blanked out
and i cannot click it

I have a feeling the hard drive is hidden, is there any program to unhide a hard drive or anything i can do to resolve this issue?

My whole life is on that hard drive Music Pictures Etc

Any Help will be appriciated

thats y ur supposed to backup ur most important stuff on (Preferably) a seperate HD or maybe a Flash (Thumb) Drive

Its called my file server crashed 2 days ago

oh well u forgot to mention u had a file server sry.. and i dont know that much about HD problems yet.. sry.. i've never had a problem with mines

Did u see if Everest Ultimate Detects it??

If the disk managment recognizes the disk space but no drive letter, means there in no logical volume on the extended partition or the extra space is mounted on another partition.

How would i fix that?

No i have 2 36 GB raptors striped raid For My OS
The 500 GB (the one that cannot be seen) is my documents hard disk

What version of XP do you have? Also, if you can post a screen shot of your disk managment screen, that would kinda help troubleshoot the problem.

Did your 500gb hdd have a drive letter before you reinstalled XP?

i put in my xp instalation disk And it says my 500 GB is
E: Partion (Inactive OS/2) Boot Man476938 MB (170802 MB Free)
But in XP's disk managment it says its active and it doesnt have a drive letter?
I also tried throwing my 500GB into My other computer last night and it says its active, But no drive letter?
