Default hard drive

i just installed my new hard drive and i can see it in device manager and pulled up my raid configuration menu in my start up (im not running a raid) and it can see it there. i don't know were to look in bios to see if it can see it... what do i do it is not in "my computer" so i cant do any ting with it?

Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Click Disk Management in the left pane. Your drives will then show up in the right pane. There you can format and initialize the drive.
