Hard drive

Hi, i am almost completly updating my compter from a p2 to a sempron 2500+. I am getting new mobo, processor,ram case,ect everything except for a hard drive. I am running win 98 on it right know and when i am getting my new parts i will still be running 98. I just wanna know how i can completly clear my hdd like it was just bought. also does it erase those errors that come up on the blue sceen after a incorrect shut down.

If you reformat it, it will work. Unless if the problem itself is a bad hard drive.

Yeah, just boot from the Windows install CD. Make sure to back up any data you want, first.

k so froemat it. Last time when i did that it didnt fix the errors though on my hard drive it jsut says it puts them at the end so i dont have to use them and i believe those MB's become unusable.can i fix that?
