GTX 280 orange/red light in game - Crash

Hey guys, i recently replaced my old 280 under my warranty through BFG Tech. They sent me a new one which seems to work just fine, but after about 30+ minutes of playing any 3d game, i lose the signal from my card, and the light turns from green to a somewhat reddish/orange color. I have to restart my computer after that to get it to work. Here are my specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2H Motherboard - Intel H55, LGA1156

CPU: Intel Core i5 650 Processor BX80616I5650 - 3.20GHz, LGA 1156

Graphics Card: BFG Tech BFGEGTX2801024OCXE GeForce GTX 280 1GB 512-bit GDDR3

Power Supply: Ultra X3 1000w

Have you taken a look at what your video card's temperatures are?

On the left side, go under Computer -> Sensor, and it should show you a variety of different temperatures.

have you tried latest drivers? made sure the card is perfectly seated in the slot?
