Question Great computer, afraid of monitor

I've decided to rebuild my computer with a new cpu, mobo, memory, and case.

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-502&depa=0
AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 64-bit
$196.00 + $0.00 shipping = $196.00

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...130-485&depa=1
MSI "RS480M2-IL" ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 Chipset Motherboard
$89.00 + $3.00 shipping = $92.00

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...202-007&depa=1
E-Power WARRIOR Silver ATX Mid Tower With 450W PSU & Side panel net window, Model "EPC-523SC-450A "
$78.99 + $15.99 shipping = $94.98

http://www.xpcgear.com/eneuc5fatr2s.html
5.25" Enermax UC-A5FATR2 Aluminum 6-Channel Fan Speed Controller w/Temp. Alarm LCD Display (Hard Drive Mountable) (Silver)
$26.99 + $7.00 80mm Sunon Case Fan + $7.16 = $41.15

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...144-310&depa=1
Geil Ultra Series Value Dual Channel 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 w/ Blue Heatspreader
$142.50 + $4.33 shipping = $146.83

Grand Total = $570.96

But there is one thing I'm afraid of, I don't know if my monitor will be able to handle the higher resolutions and framerates. I have an emachines eView 17f2. It says max resolution is 1280x1024 at 60hz. Do i have to buy a new monitor to take advantage of my new graphics mobo and cpu?

I doubt it, how old is the monitor?

Default monitor

well, i got one of those full system deals, like 3? years ago? but, i want to keep my hard drives, and other drives, but use a new case, cpu, and mobo, i have em all selected out, but like, i was told i'd probably need a new monitor to handle this. The mobo comes with great integrated graphics, and i have a limited budget, so i really don't want to buy a monitor too. If i have too i'll probably scrap the projest. This will be the first time i've built a computer. I want to be able to do the higher resolutions and framerates my mobo is capable of.

Actually, i've really been wanting to try to overclock, i have no idea how, but i wanted to, hmmmm, but that is a great board, onboard sound and graphics, and PCI-Express, maybe this is an excuse for me to spend a few more dollas on a graphics card and maybe a different mobo? But i do have a budget. Any advice or comments?
