not sure if this shud be in social or gen hardware software but ......

do you guys think graphics cards and montitors will soon support HDMI ?

and if so how long do u think it will be

surely it cant be that long away with this new HD revolution im surprised there isnt a few out already

My monitor has an HDMI port.

HDMI is useless for video cards really. The whole point of HDMI is that it carries video and sound. DVI is pretty much the same thing as HDMI just without audio.

wat do u mean?
if u got an hd dvd drive for your pc ya
but if u mean and actual stand alone player
you'd hook it into your monitor
and use a converter to allow u to hook the sound into your speakers

nah wot i mean is if you have a HD DVD drive and put a HD DVD in their and watch it on your DVI monitor will you still get the true HD ?

yeah, he stated up there that dvi is the same really aside from the fact it doesn't budle the audio and video together. the dvi is still a digital signal.

Yeah man, I believe so. DVI is the way to go. The HDMI ports are for those monitors with the speakers built in (I think).

you keep telling me that DVI is a digitial signal i know this.

but HD is different from digital correct ?

i mean i may be wrong
