Default Graphics Card Question And Vista

Is a Mobility™ Radeon® X1400 better than a Mobility Radeon 9700?

Also, how can you tell if your laptop can support vista or not?

Hmm hard to honestly say. The Mobility Radeon 9700 was pretty good for it's time, but I've never seen any performance benchmarks done for the X1400.

Any DirectX 9.0 card with Shader Model 2.0 will be able to support Windows Vista and it's Aero Glass theme.

I think the Radeon® X1400 has its own memory. unless you have 1GB of ram becuase it takes 256MB of ram.. So if you only have like 256 or 512 it willl run slow. But it will work fine on vista my friend installed vista on hes ATI 9200 PCI!! card and it ran fine. but dont be plaining to play games at fast frames
