Default graphics card problem!

just put a system together for my neice. i have put in a msi mx4000 graphics card. however the only one showing in the device manager is the onboard graphics!!
how do i get the agp card to run the graphics?

Monitor is plugged into the Mx4000 isnt it?

go to the bios.
Then disable the onboard one and enable AGP.
Atleast that's what I did.

i have looked in the bios and the agp is set as main device.
