Default Graphics card help

hey all
is it possible to run an nVidia card on a MSI 790FX-GD70 even though its made for ATI? if so are there any drawbacks? i was thinking of some thing along the lines of a GTX 260.
thx in advance

also does ddr3 1600 work on it becuase it says OC

It doesn't matter which GPU you use on it. The DDR3 1600 will also work. What cpu are you using with it?

AM3 Phemon II x4 3.2ghz

but are there any drawbacks to using a nvidia card and 1600 mhz ram for this type of board?

No drawbacks except you will be unable to add a second card later on if you were planning on it. You should be fine though.
