System will be 3200xp barton, 512mb ram, 120gb hardrive, 5500 256mb graphics, 350 watt power. My question is, will I have any problems fitting a 6800 128mb? Will my system allow me to extract all the power out the card. Also, how easy is it to unlock the 4 extra pipelines?

That sounds like a rubbish spec! Why dont you get a proper job instead of in a monastary with all those monks and earn some really money! Like me! I now work in a bakery and Ill soon have a computer so good it will blow all others away! (including NASA)

You may need a higher rated power supply. 350 Watts is the minimum I would get but that's pushing it a little knowing that you're planning on getting a high performance video card with additional power. You're going to need RivaTuner to unlock the pipes. Someone good at overclocking will help you here, but Im not too good at using it.
