Which graphics card for the??

Hey guys Im seeing what graphics card or graphic cards should i buy to play crysis or battlefield bad company 2 on MAX settings. My budget is 350$. should i buy two radeon 5770's or should i buy radeon 5850?? or any other suggestions?

a lot of the times people will tell you something is better to try to justify what they bought. anyhow, I would recommend that you get a 5850,now, as it will have plenty of power. then, if you need more power, you can get a second. if you get two 5770's off the bat you are sort of locked in.

Get a 5850, flash it to 5870 BIOS, overclock to ~1GHz core 1400 memory, and you will be set.

I might not be a techie, but the answers you're getting are for here and now, and you don't wanna look at that.

If you get 2x 5770s, then that's it, you can't add more, you'll have to replace the cards entirely when you next upgrade. If you get a 5850, then you can get a second 5850 down the road when 1x 5850 isn't enough for you.

2x 5770s may give you a bit more power RIGHT NOW, but 1x 5850 will serve you better in the longrun and will be altogether a better investment.

Besides, you'll be able to game to your hearts content either way, they're both safe choices.
