graphics card

depending on the age of the destop and slots it has you might beable to get light gaming out of it. prebuilts like dell and hp are never really good for gaming. you have(funest) to build a custom computer
my hp actually has a Asus motherboard. the system performance test for crysis rated it as "fast"

prebuilts dont use the best kinds, it could be the worst Asus board out there.
Even if its tested fast, doesnt mean it actually will.

I hear you. but it doesn't just say "fast" it shows you the numbers.
my Athlon x2 64 3800 2ghz runs runs at 5.7 ghz. I didn't over clock it or anything.
all of the performace tests I run come back with high scores. oh and I paid $399 for it:D

5.7GHz ???

Don't tell me, you added the two 2.85GHz cores together to get 5.7GHz right?

Afraid it doesn't work like that.

:)

The key words are "rated at" this means it is comprable to 5.7GHz but is actually not a 5.7GHz processor.

Hell, mine would be rated at 8.0GHz but that doesn't mean I have an 8.0GHz processor.

Your wording in the earlier post was what got me.
