Graphics Card

No matter how high GPU speed is, they're wasted if video card memory is a bottleneck. DDR has paved way for higher clock speed which equal greater bandwidth. Newer type of memory used in the Nvidia and ATI's DDR-2 models, GDDR-3 models added with a more EFFICIENT ways to use 256-bit memory interface help improve overall performance. So they are equally important.

Neither of those things are a factor. Its actual perfomance. For example the old 5 series Geforce has higher clock frequencies than the 6 series. Also the 6600 has higher clocks than the 6800 NU but preforms worse.

So its just the video card, clocks shouldnt be payed much attention.

Well that's confusing because everyone is getting the 6600GT's which are only 128 and there are 6600 with 256

The AGP model only comes with 128 at this time. 128mb is all that is needed for games today as long as you have extra system memory it can access.

nyeguy,
about ur confusion with the 6600gt with only 128 mb of mem
and the regular 6600 with 256mb of mem.

They both only have a 128 bit interface.

Also, the GT has more pipelines within the GPU core. And it has more vertex shaders. This is why it is the better card. Plus the GDDR3 memory.
