Default gpu fps issue

pc specs
GeForce gtx970
amd fx 8120 cpu
asus sabertooth990fx mobo 900watt powersupply
h100i liquid cooler with push/pull fan setup

problem:
1 week ago today a ran a benchmark using heaven benchmark 4.0 iwas getting max fps of 165-170 on ultra settings with a score in the 1800's..
and today I ran it same settings same everything and im getting around 100-110 max fps with a score in the 1200's please help what could have went wrong I updated all drivers windows is fully updated I uninstalled any new programs that may affect the gpu performance such as gpu tweak,msi afterburner please any suggestions would help thanx

It could be the program you used to benchmark it with. Try Performance Test from Passmark PassMark PerformanceTest - PC benchmark software

thanx I tried that and got pretty much same results lot lower fps then before

What temps are the card getting to?

When did you buy the card ?

Have you cleaned out your PC since you bought the card ?

And finally on MSI afterburner is your card maxed out when you run the tests ?

I got the card 3 months ago and no msi was not maxed out I cleaned all Temps files from my computer and no I didn't restore my pc when I got the card and I'm getting around 79-80 Celsius I have the gtx 970

If the card was not maxed out when you ran the tests that means that something in your system is holding back that card

I downloaded gpu-z and my card went 98% load and it dropped down to 8 and 15% a couple times
