Is this GPU compatible with this Mobo?

I was recommened to get the Sapphire HD 5830 1GB GDDR5 DUAL DVI-I HDMI Display Port Out PCI-E Graphics Card COD MW2 Game Edition GPU and a Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 785G Socket AM3 onboard DVI VGA HDMI 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard mobo. Are these compatible? Because i've noticed that the mobo has 2.0 PCIe slots and the GPU says it's for PCIe 2.1. Can anyone confirm that it is compatible?

Yeah you are fine with that Mobo and GPU. They will work fine together. From what I have gathered reading some articles is that 2.1 just implements some components that will be available on PCIe 3.0. But it will work just fine on a 2.0 board.

So 2.0 and 2.1 work together? What differences are they?

Yes they will work together. 2.1 cards have features that will be included in the 3.0 pci-e format. So its a card that will work in 2.0 slot just fine but will have some extra features what a 2.0 card won't have.
