OK, so I got an old-ish Dell as a present, 40GB IDE hard drive, no CD drive, 2.0Ghz P4, not great, but whatever. So I install Windows. It is in 8bit color mode at resolution 1 x 1. I manage to install my USB WiFi adapter and get Windows update, it luckily got me the video driver, so I am running 32bit color at a high res, like 1280 x 1024 or whatever. But I still have no sound! I downloaded Everest and did the report thingy, so could someone tell me where I would start looking for sound drivers?

Also it came with a 256MB stick of something like PC2100, so I put in a stick of 512MB PC2700 and I only have 512MB or RAM in Windows...something is up there.

Ugh, the report was too long to put in here (what she said!) so I had to find somewhere else to put it (what she said!!)
