Default Is a good sound card worth it?

Im thinking about buying a new sound card to upgrade from my onboard sound and I was wondering do you think it would be worth it for me to buy the CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 which is $71 for my Logitech X-530 speakers?

Here are the links for the two:

yes thats an amazing sound card, do you have onboard 5.1 or do you only have 2.1. because the average person will never notice a difference

then i'd just get that one, either way it's going to be an amazing sound quality, although if you'd like to save more money, just get the 5.1 regular SB LIVE! card. i have the 5.1 and the 7.1 and i think everythign sounds great

It will make a difference, especially in programs which use many different sound paths, such as music mixing/composing programs.
In games, you'll notice better clarity and detail especially in background noise.
