Welcome to the forum!!

My bro recently bought a laptop from PC world, for 400, the specs were less than that, smaller hdd etc, so yeah i think thats not a bad price. No experience with the cpu, but i like AMD's. He has had to take his laptop back already 3 times in 2 days because of bugs caused by vista, so be prepared to have a hard time with that...

ps.

k just did a bit of research lol, the cpu runs at 1.6ghz which is good, and altho people tend to prefer Intel for laptops, id happily go with an AMD. Here is an article describing the AMD Turion... (ignore the fact that its for a BENQ laptop still gives u a bit of info about the AMD cpu)

something to keep in mind is that Vista is a memory hog. i have 1g in my laptop, and vista runs 3/4 of it just in idle. happy hunting.
