Default Good PCI Video Card

What is a good PCI video card that is compatible with today's games and under $150 CDN?

NOTE: I'm not looking for PCI-Express video cards

wow, not many pci cards can play newer games. I have an FX5200 that can play HalfLife2, not at liquid smooth frame rates mind you. But at medium settings and 1024x768 it was playable, but could get really choppy. It was only $60. I don't know how any other pci cards perform.

i had played vice city, and it ran fine, and i have a celeron, what processor do you have? A better processor could play it better, celerons are terrible at gaming.

Here's a FX5500 that's slightly better than the FX5200, but still not great.

But if you want to play Half-Life 2 or Doom 3 with better resolutions, you're better off buying a new motherboard, or a new system entirely.

It's dual VGA tho, making it pricey.

Well, your other choices are...

MX4000
FX5200
Radeon 7000
Radeon 9200
Radeon 9250

There really aren't any better than that, and it does meet your price requirements.
