good parts?

i just talked to my technology consultent about trying to run new games on my comp. he told me my system was to old and he couldn't say that a new graphics card and ram would help. So ive decided to save for a new computer wich i may be able to buy around the beginning of june 06 so i came up with some components that i thaught would make a good gaming pc so i could get the generall price and i was wondering if these parts would make a good system (for gaming) i dont care how much i have to spend but if anyone has anysuggestions pleez help ive never built a comp and i would have lots of help from my technology consultent. here are the parts (i already have a 250 gig hard drive and a wintv card):

No, if your willing to spend that much on a CPU....get a dual core....FX series isnt the best.

And get some Crucial Ballistix RAM not Ultra, tigerdirects main thing.
