Hi all,
I'm planning to buy a document scanner to convert all the documents in my office. I'm running a small electronic store for few years. The canon scanner we are using for scanning documents is easy but to convert to a digital image is getting difficult. In this case, we need to upload that image and convert manually. I read about converting documents using digital imaging technology (http://www.ashconversions.com/resources). So, I decided to find a good OCR device that can easily do all this works easily.Has anyone tried it before? Please suggest me to find the best one.

It shouldn't have to be complicated but I'm not familiar with scanners. Does it allow you to save the scanned pictured as a file?

What's the extension of said file?

Windows has a program called Paint that lets you save to one of the listed extensions.

Another option is to capture the screen and save to Paint.

It's not so much the device but the OCR software that you use to process the scanned image afterwards. Here's a link to a review of 10 "Best": The Best OCR Software of 2017 | Top Ten Reviews

I have one of these: http://shop.neat.com/neatdesk
It is useful for scanning documents and receipts in that it scans and does OCR all in one step. It also, categorizes things and builds a database of your scanned stuff so you can easily search for things.
