Raffaz Golden Master Messages 6,798 May 16, 2011 #2 depends on how much storage you need mate, i run 4 drives on RAID5, you could go for RAID 6 and have 2 drives for redundancy, guess you need to weigh things up, storage over how much you need the files.

OP OP BrokenAtari In Runtime Messages 219 May 16, 2011 #3 I was mostly concered with using poorly rated drives and if the RAID would make up for the risk.
Raffaz Golden Master Messages 6,798 May 16, 2011 #4 never used hitachi drives mate, i personally use samsung drives, good price and never had a failure yet (currently running 11 of them) the RAID should make up for the failure, but if your concerned then use RAID 6
