GS was the replacement for the GT - fewer pipelines but much higher clock speeds, which meant it was faster.

Don't start thinking that cos its a 7xxx series that it is better than any of the 6xxx series

like everyone says-stick to 7600gt or a 7300gt (make sure it has gddr3 though).

how bout this card? it seems like it would run bf2 well and it exceeds the required and recommended requirements on the package??? i'm looking into getting this card to play bf2 because i need a low profile card, do you think it woul run it well?

yeah that card will run BF2, and the 2 gigs of ram you have with defintely boost your performance play in that game.
