Ok..welll if you could, go with the 7x series, or some to that sort. a 7600GT would be fine, i have it and can run mainly any game on full quality right now... cept oblivion.

EDIT: I'm not bothered about dynamic light or shadows on bf2, just medium settings for everything else at 1024x786. My current system can (2gb, 3.4ghz with ati radeon 9550) can handle bf2 on high (not dynamic shad or light) on 1024x786, and this card is better than that. I WILL be upgrading to a gig ram for this pcMEMORY - Kingston 512MB DDR PC3200 400MHz CL3 Memory Module (Lifetime warrenty)

the 6600GT will be fine for playing bf2 on medium settings.
