Cool Good Build?

Hey everyone.

I am thinking of building my first PC soon.

A friend has donated me:

550W PSU
320GB Samsung HDD
An old mesh computers case

I am a total amateur with PC building.

Would this be a good setup for gaming?

ASUS M4A87TD EVO AMD 870 ATX Motherboard - AM3 Socket
AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1090T Black Edition 3.20GHz (Socket AM3)
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 Extreme 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Is it possible just to take the old motherboard from the old PC and replace it with this one with the processor, ram and graphics card?

Or if you can think of a cheaper, moire efficient build, please feel free to tell me.

Thanks in advance

Default Re: Good Build?

Empty the case out, mount the new mobo, plug it all in, mount the drives and GPU and away you go.

looks like a good build too.
