I take it he means not hogging system resources and slowing the overall performance of the system down. And the answer is yes, it is pretty light.

I don't know how good it is but there's also that McAffee one.

Free antivirus? Here's some good ones that are rated at the top besides Norton:

(Best one being at the top)

-AntiVir Personal Edition Classic 6.32
-Alwil Software Avast Home Edition 4.6
-Grisoft AVG Free Edition 7.1
